Each week before sharing these prompts I do them myself. During my reflection time I pay close attention to the types of things that surface and where my spirit senses the flow of this journey is meant to take us. Each person’s journey is their own and should reflect what they are being drawn toward. I’ve observed that its also true that there are themes that apply to the collective. For this reason I adjust my prompt plan according to what I sense.
This week’s prompt is changing as a result of my reflections.
First – remember to celebrate progress. While it might seem small IT IS NOT.
I am proud of you. Believing in this kind of change is a really big deal that can bring up a lot. Reflect on what you faced and give yourself a huge pat on the back.
If you weren’t quite able to get there – congratulate yourself for considering it. Good news! Today is a new day and every day is an opportunity to choose something new. Try again and be compassionate to the parts of you that are struggling.
It’s also important to practically note what worked well for you and what didn’t. We need to make this as doable and palatable as possible to set you up for success. Maybe journaling in a journal isn’t best for you, document another way. Maybe talk to text is easier? Or doing a voice recording? Did you realize mornings are better than evenings? Notice and adjust.
Reflect back on what you wrote. Sit and meditate on how you felt, what came up and dive a little deeper into those areas. Are there any activities that come up during the this week that you hadn’t originally thought of? I know for me there were. Once I got some practice with thinking about these things I realized there were activities I was more avoidant of that I almost never do – but still fit the criteria. What have you been most avoidant of?
In summary:
✅Celebrating your progress.
✅It’s another chance to go even deeper, OR try again.
✅Note adjustments that will help make this more doable.
✅Do your first week’s activity goal as prescribed in the week 1 journaling.
