What activities make me lose track of time because I’m so absorbed and happy?
✅ Identify as many as you can think of.
✅ Write them in a journal. Go into as much detail as possible about why you feel this way. What are the details you can think of to help describe why this activity opens this experience up in you? Journal about this.
✅If there are reasons doing these things are hard or have been hard lately notice those and write them down. Some will be practical realities we need to acknowledge and learn how to work around or give space for ourselves to understand that sometimes it’s not just simple and set realistic expectations around those. Ponder those things as they come up and identify palatable goals to move toward them. Sometimes it’s hard for more emotional/mental reasons. Notice those and show up with compassion to them. These are areas where reparenting the parts of us that have led to them feeling impossible or not worthwhile need some love and attention. Also important to note these things because they are what you will come up against when you go to do the activity and it’s good to be prepared so we can respond from a place that isn’t surprised by it.
✅ Brainstorm about a plan to work one of these activities into your week for the next 4 weeks (week 2-5). It can be more last min if that’s needed but at min you should set the goal in week 1 that week 2-5 you will do one activity a week.
✅ Write down those goals in your journal.
✅ If you need to schedule the time for these activities so they are set do that and put them in your calendar.
